Brendan Dolan is a singer, guitarist and dentist from Wethersfield, CT. Since age twelve, Brendan has performed with rock bands, trios and a cappella groups, building a diverse repertoire of music that spans generations of sound. His sonic influences include anything from rock and soul to jazz, groove and funk (check out the playlist he made for his dental office on Spotify: "The Dolan Dental Mix"!)
His musical journey began with talent shows and public performances with his rock band in middle school, and continued at Loomis Chaffee, where he played original and cover music with a band and directed "The Acappellicans", Loomis' a cappella group. Brendan went on to Emory University and joined the all-male a cappella group No Strings Attached, leading the group in direction, arrangement and skit writing for four years. During the summers of 2006 and 2007, he sang with The Vineyard Sound (VS), a semi-professional a cappella group on Martha's Vineyard, and went on to direct the group in summer 2009. VS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, and for the last nine years, Brendan has served on its board of directors. Brendan also lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and performed at bars and cafes while absorbing as much bossa nova as possible!
In 2014, Brendan graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and pursued a year of additional surgical and oral rehabilitation training at the Long Beach VA Hospital residency in California. He lives in New Haven, CT, and practices general dentistry in Wethersfield, CT with his father at Dolan Dental. In his free time, Brendan records music, arranges a cappella and sings with his band, Man Hands. Click here to see a video of Brendan Dolan
