Nelson Garcia is a saxophonist, recording artist and minister based out of New Haven Connecticut. He has been in the music field for over 18 years and has two records as a solo artist.

Born in Elgin Illinois in 1977 and raised in Puerto Rico where he started to learn music at the early age of 14. Picked up the saxophone at age 15 and continued his musical career through all his years in Puerto Rico.

Nelson Garcia's first CD, "The Power of Love," was released in 2009. In 2014, Garcia released his second album CD "Time to Worship" which received great reviews. Nelson has traveled the United States taking part in different concerts, festivals, church events, conferences and much more. Major events include the Greater Hartford Jazz Festival, New York "Something Jazz Club," Hartford Leva's Gospel Festival and much more. Nelson has as played alongside of Adrian Cruthfield, Deon Yates, Elan Trotman, Charlie Duran, Nick Cedillo, Jean Sandoval and many more.

Nelson Garcia has studied under Walter Beasley, Eric Marienthal, Chris Herbert (New Haven), and Tim Price (New York School of Music). Nelson is a lover of jazz music, gospel jazz, & R&B.
